Corner on the Square (COTS for short) is easy to find – quite a landmark on Beauly’s High Street, with plenty of free parking available. You’ll notice the al fresco dining tables under canopies on the sidewalk, and once you step in to the bustling interior you’ll be greeted with deli counters bursting with a cornucopia of Scottish produce, ranging from artisan cheeses and baked goods to heather honey, cured meats and locally brewed beer.
Take a seat in the relaxed eating area and peruse the menu, which has something for everyone, prepared from fresh using locally sourced ingredients, and cooked to perfection, no matter what time of day you visit.
You’ll be spoilt for choice when you select from our main menu, which has vegetarian, plant-based, dairy-free and gluten-free options, as well as a range of dishes suited to the tastes and appetite of children.
Get a good start to the day with a hearty Scottish breakfast (served from 9am to 11.30am). The full version is a challenging plate filled with Stornoway black pudding, grilled bacon, free-range egg, local butcher’s sausage, field mushrooms, tattie scone, vine tomatoes and baked beans. It also comes with toast, butter, honey or preserves and tea or coffee of course.
If you have a smaller appetite there are alternatives like smashed avocado, Shetland Smoked Salmon with scrambled egg, a sweet & savoury selection of pancakes and a sensational breakfast smoothie.
From 11.30am onwards the menu segues into a bounteous array of light meals, our popular appetising platters, salads and delicious desserts, tempting nibbles and the daily specials posted on the board every morning.
We offer an extensive, high quality wine list to complement your meal at COTS, along with a drinks menu that includes spirits – local whisky & Gin of course – soft drinks of all sorts and cocktails.
Throughout the year we offer special Evening Events when we open our doors after dark for exceptional food and drink experiences.
Examples include our annual Burn’s Night Banquet, Valentine dinners, and Festive Menus. We host regular Cheese and Wine tasting events including a 5-course Champagne Masterclass, along with bespoke charity evenings to support fundraising efforts in our local community.
